New MacBooks, MacBook Pro's AND displays! Sunday Oct 19th
With their Tuesday announcement, Apple has released the new versions of their MacBook, MacBook Pro and, surprisingly, Apple Cinema Display models. The new machines feature a slew of new features, including a revolutionary manufacturing process for the laptops.
The MacBooks now sport a silver aluminium finish with a glossy glass screen, new chipsets, more memory and a lack of Firewire port. The two MacBooks run at 2.0 and 2.4Ghz and feature 2GB of fast DDR3 memory. The aluminium cases are milled from a single block of aluminium.
The Pro machines get all new cases using the same milled aluminium process, 2 and 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and glossy only screens. Both machines now feature the new glass buttonless trackpad with gesture support.
The new Apple display is a welcome update to the ageing ACD line up and features the new aluminium look built in isight camera plus new connectivity to allow them to charge a connected laptop.
