4G nano updates Wednesday Sep 16th
The fifth generation of Apples biggest selling iPod, the Nano, gains a little in size but a lot in functionality as Apples recent update adds not only a video camera, but a built in FM radio with 15 minute recording buffer, Nike pedometer, voice activation and genius playlists, as well as a bigger screen.
While an FM radio may be so 1990's, the video camera turns the device into an instant social media accessory, with uploading to Flickr and mobile me once synced to a Mac. With built in audio and H.264 video at 640 by 480 pixels the camera is god enough to give Flips trendy Minio camera a run for it's money, and the Minio can't play your favourite tunes at the same time.
While there may have been disappointment that the Touch did not receive a camera update, the Nano was definitely the star of the show, apart from Steve Jobs himself of course who used the event to mark his public return to Apple after his medical leave.
