Hey Dr Mac! Tell us about this MacBook
Eventually Apple gave up trying to install a G5 processor in the PowerBook and switched to Intel. They also switched the name signalling the end of the PowerBook line. The MacBook Pro was thinner, lighter and much much faster so it was a big win all round. The new case design was essentially the same as the old on, but the screen was fractionally larger and firewire 800 was temporarily abandoned. The slower Intel CoreDuo processor in this Mac means it can still run the current OS but better faster machines are available. Can make for a great bargain MacBook Pro though.
